ANBERRA, Australia, Sept. 16, 2014 Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) announced today that Scott Harris has been named head of aerospace programs, within Northrop Grumman Australia. In this role, Harris will be responsible for representing all Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Sector operations throughout Australia and the region.
Harris will report directly to Northrop Grumman Australia Chief Executive Ian Irving, with strategic responsibility to Mary Glickman, the director of international strategic positioning within the Aerospace Systems Sector.
“I am delighted to welcome Scott to the executive team of Northrop Grumman Australia,” Irving said. “This newly created role is an important step in the development of Northrop Grumman Australia, aligning the existing Aerospace Systems Sector regional operations with the strategic direction we’re developing here at Northrop Grumman Australia.”
Harris joined Northrop Grumman through the recent acquisition of Qantas Defence Services, where he most recently held the role of head of customer business. Prior to working with Qantas, Scott spent 30 years with the Australian Defence Forces, leaving with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Harris holds Masters degrees in Engineering Science (Project Management) and Management Studies and is an accredited Certified Practising Project Director within the Australia Institute of Project Managers.
